RDAS2000 (Radar Data Acquisition System)
Weather Radar Upgrade for TITAN
RDAS2000 is a great improvement of the existing PC and DOS based RDAS4.1 system currently in use.
The new RDAS is no longer PC based and is housed in a stand alone shielded metal enclosure
measuring 28cM x 20cM x 7cM.
RDAS2000 can be used as a non Doppler Radar LOG Video Acquisition Processing and Control
system.
RDAS allows remote control and monitoring of the Radar via Ethernet port.
Data and configuration are sent via TCP/IP or USB to and from RDAS and a host machine.
The host machine can be a Laptop or standard PC running Win 98/XP or Linux.
The calibration and utilities package RCAL is Java based GUI That can be run on a Win Xp or Linux
system.
RDAS has been cstomized to work with TITAN.
RDAS is capable of digitizing 3 channels 14 bit Video at 10Mhz on each channel, this allows the
system to be used on Enterprise, Mitsubishi, Pacer and Dual channel MRL-5 radar's.
RDAS also has many user defined control Inputs and Outputs to switch on relays and monitor signals
and switches on the radar by adding the Radar Control Unit(RCU ).
